As an international student, you may be concerned about maintaining your F visa status while attending LBCC. There are many regulations that you need to be aware of as a student in the United States. Many of our students have many concerns and questions when it comes to maintaining their status.

As you are aware, your information is also maintained by a web-based system called the Student and Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS). SEVIS is administered by the Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), a division of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

Please visit the official ICE site to find useful information such as maintaining your immigration status while a student in United States, what to expect at a U.S. port of entry and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's).

When you enrolled in Long Beach City College, we reviewed the important information on F-1 and M-1 Student Regulations and Responsiblities. (F-1 and M-1 Student Regulations and Responsibilities - alternative text version). After the presentation, all of you signed the form to indicate that you were informed of these regulations. If you have any questions regarding the regulations, you may contact the international student office for clarifications.

If you did not attend the orientation, you must print out the F-1 Visa Regulations or M-1 Visa Regulations and submit a copy with your signature to Denise Kinsella in the International Student Office if you have not done so at the orientation.
